A Story That Inspires Us
Our story began when Hannibal Shabo, one of Amen Care’s founders, cared for his mother during her long and emotional journey with dementia. What began as small reminders — helping her find her glasses, preparing her favorite meals — slowly turned into full-time care. Hannibal learned that compassion means more than assistance; it means presence. He saw how moments of tenderness could calm her fears, how a familiar voice could bring her back to herself, even briefly. That experience shaped the soul of Amen Care — a company built not just on professionalism, but on the sacred trust between caregiver and family.
